On 30 September 2026, a severe attempted hijacking occurred aboard flydubai Flight FZ1073, en route from Dubai to Tel Aviv. The aircraft's co-pilot, Omani national Hamam al-Hammami, launched a "lone wolf" attack inside the cockpit roughly 10 minutes before scheduled landing in Israel.
